Railway Recruitment 2025: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has started the application process for Group D recruitment. A total of 32,438 posts are to be recruited through this recruitment campaign. 10th pass candidates have this great opportunity to get a government job. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the concerned official regional RRB website till 22 February. If you are going to apply for this recruitment, then you should keep in mind the guidelines of RRB, otherwise your application may also be canceled.
RRB Group D Recruitment 2025: Guidelines For Applying
Candidates should read all the instructions and information carefully before applying. To apply, candidates have to create their account on the official website. If you do not have an account on the RRB website, you have to create your account by clicking on ‘Create an Account’. It is worth noting that the details entered while creating the account will not be given the opportunity to edit later.
Candidates should keep all their scanned documents ready before applying. You have to take special care while uploading documents and photos. RRB has also issued guidelines related to document and photo upload.

RRB Group D Photo Upload Instructions: Photo Upload Guidelines
- Candidates have to upload a recent clear color passport size photograph with white background.
- The color photograph should not be more than two months old with respect to the last date of submission of online application.
- The dress should be non-white dress, i.e. you should be wearing dark colored clothes.
- The photo should be in JPEG format.
- The file size should be between 50 to 100 KB.
- The photo should be without goggles and hat.
- It should be of size 35mmX45mm or 320 x 240 pixels.
- It should be in JPEG format scanned with minimum 100 DPI resolution.
- The size of the photo should be between 50-100KB.
- The photo should be taken in a professional studio. Uploading of mobile photos and self-composed photos may result in rejection of the application.
- The photo should have a clear front view of the candidate, without wearing cap and/or hat and sunglasses and/or goggles.
- The face should occupy at least 50% of the area in the photo, with the full face looking straight at the camera.
- The main features of the face should not be covered by hair, any cloth or any shadow. The forehead, eyes, cheeks, nose, neck, chin and both shoulders should be clearly visible.
- Also, the elbow/below elbow/below chest area should not be visible in the photo.
- Facial expressions should be natural (no smiling/frowning/raising eyebrows).
- The photo should not contain signature/name/date or any other markings.
- If the candidate is wearing spectacles, the photo should not have any glare/reflection on the spectacles and the eyes should be clearly visible.
- PwBD candidates should only upload passport size photograph as per the above specifications and not the full body photograph used in the disability certificate.
- For the purpose of document verification and medical test, candidates are advised to keep at least 12 copies of the photograph uploaded in their online application.
Candidature may be cancelled if photo does not match
RRB has said that during all stages of the recruitment process, the facial features of the candidate should match with the facial features in the photograph submitted at the time of online application. If this is not found, the candidature of that candidate may be cancelled. Moreover, legal prosecution can be initiated and the candidate can be banned for life from Railway recruitment for RRB/RRC. Hence candidates are advised to upload the photograph as per the instructions in the application

RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates applying for RRB Group D vacancies must fulfill the following educational qualifications:
- 10th pass from a recognized board, or ITI certificate from NCVT/SCVT-recognized institutes.
- As per the RRB Group D eligibility criteria 2025, candidates between the age of 18 and 36 years are eligible.
- Age relaxation will be given to OBC candidates by 3 years and Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates by 5 years.

- Visit the official RRB website of your region (e.g., rrbcdg.gov.in).
- Click on the link for CEN 08/2024 Recruitment Notification.
- Register with your email ID and mobile number to create a login ID.
- Log in using your credentials and fill in the required personal and educational details.
- Upload scanned copies of documents including your photograph and signature.
- Choose your preferred post and region.
- Pay the application fee through online mode or through SBI e-challan.
- Submit your application form and take a printout of it for future reference.
