Actor and musician Jamie Foxx got hurt during a heated incident at a fancy restaurant in Beverly Hills on Friday night. The injury required stitches.
Foxx, who celebrated his 57th birthday that day, was enjoying dinner with his family at Mr. Chow when things took a turn. According to a witness, people at a nearby table started shouting rude and offensive remarks at him.
Foxx reportedly asked them to stop, but one person from the group allegedly threw a glass at him. The glass hit his mouth, causing an injury that needed stitches, according to his representative.
Police Confirmation On Jamie Foxx Injury
The Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed they responded to an incident at Mr. Chow that evening. However, they didn’t mention Foxx specifically.
Police said they received a call around 10:06 p.m. about an assault involving a deadly weapon. But after looking into it, they determined it was more of a “dispute between parties” rather than a serious attack.
A police report labeled the case as “battery,” but no arrests had been made as of Saturday.
No further details have been released at this time.
